Our bench outplayed their starters. Cairns dead bottom for certain this year.

'Johnson' I think his name was (the DP guard, not DJ), and he looked alright. Don't know anything about him other than what I've seen this preseason though.

Larkins showed why he's a DP in limited minutes: missed shots, basic turnovers, preferred to let his center advance the ball over the half, failed iso-ball etc. Gotta love it.

I still think the 36ers will do well to make the playoffs, but I love the style of play and roster Joey has put together. I'd be happy with a ~.500 win %, so long as we compete.

Cairns will be more competitive with Walker, DKD and Jawai (theoretically) in the lineup, but they'll nonetheless be bottom. Hall, Newbill and to a lesser extent Trimble are solid, but they aren't world-beaters, and their supporting cast is underwhelming at best.

A dominant 99-75 victory against Cairns at Titanium Security Arena continued an unblemished preseason, reinforcing Adelaide's lofty season hopes.

The comprehensive four-quarter performance ticked another box on Joey Wright’s preseason checklist, the Taipans proving no match for the new-look 36ers outfit.
Unblemished? Didn't they get beaten twice in Perth?
ADELAIDE 36ERS 99 (Drmic 16, Wiley 13, Johnson, Sobey, Deng 11)

CAIRNS TAIPANS 75 (Trimble, Loe 16, Newbill, Hall 13)
From the 36ers' site.

I had the same thought Isaac. Two smackings by Perth don't count as Preseason apparently. Maybe they were added to the end of last season?!

"Larkins played 3 minutes and racked up 4 turnovers, can someone tell me why he's there at all"
"way better candidates for DP than Larkins"

As said in a different thread, DP's are unpaid for Adelaide. So they get whoever is willing to make all training's and home games which is very few. Larkins has done it for the last few years so he deserves to get minutes in a pre season game when we are up by lots.

Who exactly are "Valo" the sponsors on the 36ers front singlet?

Does anyone know what the sponsor is on the back of the 36ers singlet?

It's probably another LK sourced sponsor who won't pay cash and in lieu issue equity in their startup instead.

Soon all clubs will be cash poor and the NBL will become a diversified startup company fund manager.

"Unblemished? Didn't they get beaten twice in Perth?"

and the Advertiser article (paper version) used "unbeaten".

Who wants to be first to tweet 'fake news'? :-)

Were those losses in Perth blitz games? More than likely (it's the advertiser after all) it’s just shitty reporting, not someone claiming they didn’t lose at all.

It's not great when you can't find the Valo website, or the "Orius" website.

Also, is John Casey doing 36ers pre-season games now?
