NBL 2018/19 Championship Odds

Going by SportsBet:

Kings 2.85
United 3.25
Wildcats 6.00
Breakers 10.00
36ers 12.00
Bullets 15.00
Taipans 15.00
Hawks 21.00

Surely a bit of value in there from 3-5 (factoring in Perth's spare import spot)?

Huge value for Perth, NZL and Adel. Particularity if injuries hit Sydney.

Agree that 3-5 are the value bets.

NZ are hard to guage but they have plenty going for them:

- Proven NBL experience (Webster, Abercrombie, Wesley)
- Imports who look quality on paper
Depth

Adelaide and Perth have solid Aussie groups and proven coaches. Adelaide has recent history of bringing in quality imports mid season (Randle, Childress) too.

Why does everyone keep referencing Perth's spare import spot? They're unlikely to use it, unless they get hit with a major injury to create a roster spot, or unless they're really struggling. In either of those cases that would be a dent to their title chances to start with before using the third spot.
