Cadee in 2018

Averaging 8pt per game at 25% from 3s... the guy has always been one of the most overrated players to lace a Bball shoe, but even I'm surprised how actually shit he is this year.

Is this the real Cadee, or is this the coach ??

You sure about that?
Seems like I see his name a lot, but only in the context of people (of possibly just one person with a major axe to grind) trashing him

Holt should start or they should get in an import PG to be legit contenders.

What ex-NBL import point guard should Brisbane go at to round out their roster?

Imo, the ideal mould would be defensive guard who is strong enough to fight through screens or get skinny to protect the bigs so they can be effective in tall lineups.

Either go that way or get a Trice who can get to the cup and score but defends about as well as Cadee.

Perimeter shooting wouldn't need to be high on the agenda for this PG.

IMHO Cadee is one of flashy types who always LOOKS like he's doing more than he is. A lot of exaggerated and wasteful movement that achieves nothing.
For all that, he wasn't terrible tonight. His bombs weren't dropping, he can be a little inconsistent, but he's not the only one.

Brisbane's backcourt has always puzzled. 3 PG's and none of them exceptional. If you did have a gun import PG, and Cadee was your backup, you'd count yourself lucky to have somebody that good on your bench.

Would I give up Mitch Norton to have Cadee coming off the bench? No.

There are quite a few NBA guards that got released this year, not sure if they would accept the salary re-numeration NBL offers but still a possible replacement:

Jason Terry
Jameer Nelson
Jordan Crawford would be a good signing for the league
Ramon Sessions
Patrick Mccaw got freed up from GS Warriors in July
Ty Lawson
Aaron Brooks

Some of these older guards might like the weather, shorter season and the lifestyle to come play and there are some good names available.

Cadee is overhyped moreso by commentators than the average fan. Shane Heal about has an orgasm any time the guy does anything remotely noteworthy. The fact that he is technically a Boomer has been used to sing his praises as well, despite the fact that almost every Australian point guard that is actually seeing minutes is somewhere in the Boomer's C team squad, and despite the fact that it is arguably the weakest position for Australians in the league, with most teams generally opting to either have an American starting point, or a back up point that splits minutes with them. He can be needlessly flashy, and has a herky-jerky style that makes it look like he's doing more than he is, as AD said. And this season he is once and for all proving that he is not a starting level point guard in the NBL.

Which highlights the issue. Norton is clearly being groomed to take over from Martin, but even so is already a better player than Cadee who appears to be their starter.

Strange playing group to start each game at Brisbane. Gliddon and Cadee are too much alike and they start two 5 men and replace them with two 4 men.

Yet they won.

Paul, what are your thoughts on changing out Cadee as starting point guard?

Start Holt, start Gibbo, or get in a new import (and if so, what should their skill set be?)

Heal keeps fluffing him because they are mates.

Everyone else sees him as a middling heqt check guy.

Even JVG realised he wasn't that good and let him go and JVG ain’t that great on player selection.
