Home state players

An article following the Wildcats win last week pointed out that they have three contracted local products (and an injury replacement).

How many do the other teams have besides NZ with their 5?

Adelaide Teys and Doyle

Brisbane Gliddon, Hodgson

Oops you said besides NZ...

I don't think there really are many at all. Any significant player is a transplant.

In the 90s you had your hometown players like Maher in Adelaide, Vlahov in Perth and Gaze in Melbourne play their entire careers locally which showcased the link between the grassroots and NBL, with the only exception their college years (for the latter two) which you can't experience on home soil. Sadly we don't have these great examples anymore. Kind of sad.
