I really don't get it.

For $25 per week you can watch EVERY NBL game live.

I like to watch a few NBA games (and I'm starting to watch a fair bit of College ball to see Jack White, Zion, Barrett etc play) so Foxtel is perfect.

How anyone thinks that to see every NBL game live (plus the other leagues I've mentioned) for $25 a week is expensive just amazes me.

Anyway, each to their own and no I don't work for Foxtel

There's this weird contradiction in Australian culture where it's sacrilege to pay for TV yet there is no thought to spending hundreds down at the pub.

Getting value for money down the pub and I don't gamble. Lunch-dinner and drinks with friends. :)

There are also regional differences in Australians' attitudes to "wasting money".

Sydneysiders pay for tolls. They don’t like them, but they’ll pay for a more fluid drive, and often make up in petrol savings by avoiding traffic lights and stop-start traffic.

Queenslanders avoid toll roads like the plague. The clem 7 tunnel is always a smooth run as a result.

Adelaideans, well... the govt won’t even try to put a toll road in. They even built half a road to start with, then built the other half after the lay by was paid off on the first half.
