Norwood changed the job specification and he had to reapply, basically knifed him. After all the poaching he did for that club.
Might be making room for Pritchard to move back in
I think you'll find its a Webber Inc approved appointment. Someone who has tried the job before. Initials are not SP.
Webber Inc, what a joke. Add to that Ro Jo is a shocking puppet.
I thought the person who ran the club was Steve or Simon Murray - when did Webber's take over?
Rojo doesn't even coach his own team - everyone knows the Webber's call the shots. Now he's expected to run the club?

This is an absolute joke and a wasted opportunity to get someone decent in moving forward. Instead the Club goes backwards and hires recycled goods.
Didn't he step down before from this role and also oversee the over supply of country kids in the girls program? The result club suffers in correcting the issue for last 24 months
Can’t see how this is good for the whole club with so many hats on !!
Who was available or who should they have head hunted?
Genuine question - who are the best JDO/CDs around?
Can't be worse than centrals, introduction was that he played a few years(benchwarmer) in premier league and as far as I've heard never coached higher than division 2. Has done nothing for my kids team except look confused during games.
But if you pay peanuts......
obviously each club structures a bit differently but for me, there are 3 key aspects you would look for in a Coaching Director (obviously not all the tasks listed below):
- Leadership (Communication skills, personality, handling of complaints)
- administration (ability to orgainse, prepare, perform tasks)
- Basketball skills (knowledge of the game and ability to teach juniors)
I think what clubs often overlook is the administration component required for the role. IMO each of the current coaching directors are very strong in 1 or 2 areas but lack skills in the other.
Current coaching directors:
Norwood: Rojo
Eastern: ?
West: ?
North: John Della pia & Barry Mansfield
South: Richard Dickel
Woodville: ?
Forestville: Shane Croxton
Centrals: Jason Valentine
Sturt: Scott Butler
Southern: Dean Nyberg
Basketball SA: David Ingham
I think you'd struggle to find anyone who has the broad skills and work ethic to cover Leadership, Administration and Basketball skills in SA. You'd also be talking about an 50 hour a week position for not very much money in most cases.
Ok. I assume Butler probably earns the higher end of that.
50,000 - 75,000 Australian Dollars
At least one on that list is on less than that range.
So it's a full time position for some clubs but it’s definitely not at all clubs
the role is different at every club. there's no one job spec.
norwood's pl team will be hilariously bad after webbers leave
