Mt Gambier travel costs

Basketball Australia donates up to $35,000 towards Pioneers travel costs - Border Watch.

Can't read the story because of the paywall but surely BA aren't taking credit for "donating" money towards these costs. Everyone knows this money has come from the SEABL cash reserves that BA refused to return to the clubs. It's not their money to donate. Can't see how this can be sustainable because we know BA won't provide the cash once they have to dip into their own pockets.
