Sydney vs Brisbane.

Top portion of the table is tighter than a spinster Scottish aunt. All remaining games this round will likely to change positions. The table is as fluid as a Millenial's sexuality.

Sydney (13/8) are second with Brisbane (12/9) only % away from top spot potentially. I can see this is going to be a cracker of a game with shooting % the only real difference tonight.

Lamar Patterson and the Bogie Man. Aagh what a matchup and what a contest. Patterson is leading the scorers in Bris-Vegas, BUT surprisingly does not seem to have a single block this season. Bogut leading the league with 2.8 bpg is swatting those oranges away like a Stockie swats away blowies on a station.

Lots of reasons for both teams to win and a Brisbane win would make the season more interesting than a Donald Trump supporter at an Antifa rally, so I’m tipping Brisbane by 8

Kings will lose if they can't improve in the 3 areas of rebounding, Bogut defending the perimeter and on-ball screens, and low post scoring in the paint (instead of live or die from the 3PG).

No chance of improving those 3 things IMO. Kings will lose if they aren't shooting the ball really well, because that's the only thing that wins them games due to lack of team D and rebounding.

As a Cats fan I'm hoping for a Kings win to push the Bullets back...I feel dirty for wanting Sydney to get a W.

Actually three minutes ago with the weird 43 past the hour tipoff time.

Which would be 13 past the hour in South Australia.

Yeah, I've noticed them loving 43 and 53 min past the hour. Must be for tv formats with previews and reviews/ overtime allowances.

Just going off stats (out the house soon) is Bairstow exposing Sydney's weakness at pf???

Sydney gave Bairstow a few open looks to start the game, but it's a mix of poor matchups and Bairstow just knocking down shots I think (that drive past Kickert aside).

Though if Sydney could knock down an open 3, they'd probably be up 15 right now.

Finally gets one to go, and Kickert follows it up with the first confident looking release on a 3 I've seen from him since the game in Perth.

Tough win by Sydney. Still look fragile at times but got the job done somehow.

Kings first team to win while picking 0 offensive rebounds. I'll take it though. This is why I'd rather play Brisbane than any other team in the league come post season, too. Fair amount of talent, but I just don't trust them to perform when they need it most.

One of the things I do like about this limited but competitive League is that the good, well-coached teams get better with repeated match-ups as the seasons progress.

Bairstow putting up 23 points, 10 boards and a rejection if you don't mind.

Bairstow was great. It's really just fatigue for him now, tends to start well and fade in the 2nd half. I reckon next season he'll be an absolute beast.

Cadee showing once again why he's one of the most overrated players in the league. That was a stinkbomb he dropped. Still can’t defend worth a damn, is useless if he can’t shoot and sulks when things aren’t going his way. This team needed a legit import one if they were really going to be a serious threat. Won’t win anything with Cadee as the starter.

Kings still ball watching. Kicket's answer to poor rebounding = left elbow.

Lemanis - all Bairstow had to do was lob it over Bogut, and there was someone on the other side for the alley oop, or bank it off the glass, and there was someone there for the rebound.
