Next Aussie Boomers Team Minus NBL Stars

So when will the Boomers side for the next qualifiers be announced? Assuming pretty soon? Also, did I hear right that all the top 4 teams won't release their stars for it, bar UTD letting Moller go? If that's right, what's our line up look like?

Cadee / Naar
Gliddon / Weeks
Blanchfield / Grida
Moller / Anderson / Loughton
Jawai / Hodgson / Ogilvy

The above obviously based on Brisbane choking & not making the top 4.

Though if Brisbane did make the top 4, would Andre stay home & let Bevo coach the 'Baby Boomers' ? : )

Actually since Gibson is STILL better than Cadee I'd have him in there ahead or Loughton or Ando or AJ.

If Adelaide miss out, it will free up Sobey, Johnson, Froling. Strange that you name Moller, with Melbourne still in it but Russell mentioned in the commentary that Melbourne were happy for him to play.

Would be cool to see some Aussie/Euro talent brought in to the mix!

& If Brisbane made the 4 instead of ADL, out go the 4 Brisbane blokes.

Would love to see Weeks rewarded for his strong season (s).

They would need to have some idea already as you would think they need to get visas organised to get into Iran.

Most punters on here all pick Moller in the four, where Melbourne always play him in the three. Naar and Moller played together at Sydney high.

I remember those two young guns playing together (& against each other too for Sutho & Norths). Would love to see that again! In green & gold OR red & white : )

Moneke playing div two in France in a side running thirteenth, just because some guys are playing in Europe doesn't make them all great players, more than likely wouldn’t get nbl gigs.

"They would need to have some idea already as you would think they need to get visas organised to get into Iran."

Australia nationals get a visa on arrival to Iran - you only need to submit a notification to the Iranian Government website 2 or so days before. Actually pretty easy.

Just because you assume you know anything about the quality of basketball in france d2, doesn't mean you should actually comment on the likes of Moneke. He will be in the NBL next season. Happy to wager anything with you on that.

Anyone that possibly has a future in the next cycle of world cups and Olympics that is not playing in the NBA currently or the NCAA.

Say those 26y.o and younger.

That means choosing a squad from...

Norton/Mcdowell-White/Naar/Adnam
Mccarron//Drmic/Grida/Wilson/Hooley/Dech
Cooks/Moller/D.Deng/Mcveigh/Moneke
Kay/Froling/M.Deng/Jois/M.Maker/Vague
Mathiang/Landale/Humphries/Reath/Acuil

I've tried to follow McDowell-White in Germany this season, he’s either injured or not playing.

Anon #651, we're going to be sending a weak international team regardless, even for Asian standards
