Bullets coaching situation 2019/20

Lemanis is a free agent, Boomers world cup campaign is right in the thick of NBL pre-season. What up?

Lemanis may be given an ultimatum by Bullets. Can't have your cake and eat it too.

In this situation, does Lemanis automatically choose Boomers? Gleeson comes right into the equation if Lemanis goes Buzzas.

If Lemanis chooses Australia... Matt Nielsen?

What part of Gleeson has re-signed for 3 years contains ambiguity for you?

Lemanis needs to concentrate on the Boomers....which he is good at.
I personally don't think he is a very good NBL coach....the rosters he puts together always look compromised by mateship.

Nielsen would be a great coach and work especially well with young bigs.

Lemanis should focus on Boomers imo.

In the Lamar Patterson article the other day I think it said Lemanis will be re-signing to a multi-year deal.

What part of the opening being there for Gleeson if Lemanis steps down as Boomers coach contains ambiguity for you?

I would assume he's contracted with the Boomers, so there is in fact no choice for him to make.

None...the Wildcats don't let their coaches be head coaches of the Boomers.

Since Gleeson is going to be there another 3 years, I'll let you piece the rest together.

[citation needed]

The Bevo situation was when the Boomers job was full-time and precluded an NBL gig. That is no longer the case.

What about getting a coach with NBA experience.

Most of our guys are based in the US, so is an NBL coach the best choice??

If Boomers job was open I would look at getting a European coach rather than an American. Would suit our players better and most American coaches rely on just having better players than the other team to win rather than coaching and putting in schemes.

I strongly agree with getting a top Euro coach rather than an NBA on (which is what I said on this forum after we just missed the bronze medal)

The job is not open but Bevo should be next cab off the rank.
