So New Orleans wins the lottery and the opportunity to draft Zion, will Davis be tempted to stay, or can New York send the 3rd pick and players for Davis? Lakers the other real winners.
1. New Orleans Pelicans
2. Memphis Grizzlies
3. New York Knicks
4. Los Angeles Lakers
5. Cleveland Cavaliers
6. Phoenix Suns
7. Chicago Bulls
8. Atlanta Hawks
9. Washington Wizards
10. Atlanta Hawks (via Dallas Mavericks)
11. Minnesota Timberwolves
12. Charlotte Hornets
13. Miami Heat
14. Boston Celtics (via Sacramento)

Phoenix the big losers sliding to 6th.

Atlanta with 8 and 10 pick could be involved in trades also.

No way Davis stays. You gotta feel for these small markets with no foreseeable championship hopes.

Anthony Davis to the Lakers for the number four pick plus Ingram, Kuzma, Ball and Hart.

New Orleans starts over with a young core of Zion, Jarrett Culver, Jrue Holiday and the players above.

Lakers build around LeBron, Davis and Kawhi Leonard.

Should change the odds back to how they used to be!

Lakers could be contending for the title next year, in a more even West after Durant departs

I can't see the Griffin trading for that above package. I think it's going to take a third team to get AD to LA.

Why would the Pels make such a horrible trade when the 3rd pick is on the table

Because the Knicks don't have the other young pieces that the Lakers can offer.

I bet Zion will be a bust, to small at PF C at 6 7 and to heavy at SF 280 pounds

Have you actually seen Zion play? It doesn't matter what size they are but how quick they move and he moves extremely quick. He will be fine as a small forward and could play some power forward at times.

Don't read into the comparison and there's definitely no building Zion up but Lebron seems to move pretty well at his size and weight

I agree with the statement Phoenix were the biggest losers but being a shallow draft it was a bad night for the Bulls, Hawks and Wizards too.

Thank god Trae Young wasn't a bust!!!

Draymond green is 6'7 and he seems to do alright.

Phoenix will try and move up to get Morant but he seems perfect for Memphis to replace Conley. Chicago apparently very interested in Ball but no way give up that pick for him. Lakers and Knicks will be making play for Davis, those picks will help. Lakers can probably offer better package but health concerns with Ingram, plus New Orleans would prefer to send him East, also just to mess with Lakers too. But combination of 4th pick and Knox would be good start, if Kyrie, KD and Davis team up that's a pretty good big 3, allows Kyrie to play second fiddle and setup the other 2 all night. KD gets redemption and Davis goes to big market.
But feel a little disappointed that Zion is probably going to pelicans. If things go to plan he'll ask for trade like most others that have been there before. Would have liked to seen him go to Knicks or even Chicago, bit of an anti climax going to new Orleans.

On the topic of size v position, isn't our mate Ben a little tall to be a PG?

Just saw a meme saying Zion could still return to Duke for year two. Is that #fakenews?

Not a chance in hell! He's guaranteed to be the number one pick. $9.7 million salary, $10 million sneaker deal. Why would you go back to college and risk a serious injury when you're guaranteed all this?

No way this happens.

New Orleans should absolutely consider sending AD to the Knicks for the #3 pick and whatever else they can get. If they get Zion and RJ they have a great chance to keep them both, those two had about the biggest bromance college basketball has ever seen.

Can't seriously see Zion going back to Duke. Achieves nothing except potentially getting him to a bigger market and no guarantee NO give him a trade, they might just say fine, we'll take Morant or Barrett and see what happens next year. If New York get KD and Kyrie in the summer, Zion's not going there in next year's lottery, so why bother?

Duke couldn't win the ncaa with Zion and RJ so I’m
Not sure how they would go in the winning in the nba.
Keep Davis until jan-feb and then trade him

Yeah, because everyone who didn't win the NCAA tournament has been terrible in the NBA, and Frank Kaminsky is the MVP.

Dukes boosters are just going to have to cough up a bit more than last year to make him stay.

Frank kaminsky didn't have 2 other lottery picks on his team. Kaminkskys team also had a lot of seniors.
