Where to now with Cairns??

So the only other 'Community club' in the NBL seems to have 'Landed' on its feet recently.
With the Hawks being assisted by the NBL in its last round of signings, it leaves the question about the Taipans....with pretty much only their bench signed, is Cairns in or out?? or are they going to be thrown a lifeline as well??

In the future,is Brisbane the most northern NBL franchise??

Does Tasmania replace Cairns sooner then expected??

How is signing a player under the league guidelines a lifeline? Pretty sure the league would have wanted Ball at a larger club especially considering the player involved.

In this case the guidelines are designed/used as a lifeline....i'm not disagreeing with them.

Not sure...but a community club with a unproven rookie Headcoach, low attendance (last season) and possibly/probably limited operating funds has had some decent signings so far?

Cairns have been trying to sign players but players selecting to go elsewhere. They just don't have the money.

Like any/most community model clubs they 'don't have the money', in this case though its more like they don't have a future....

Seriously signing a 17yo is so important? Boy Vs Men. Insane decision other than the PR it will bring to the Hawks.

For me Ball will be such a distraction that Illawarra will rue the decision. I don't even think he will last the season if it's not going his way.

yeah, with an average crowd twice as large as the hawks and Brisbane last season, they're really in the shit.

Sorry, could we have that in English?

You're citing the fact that a well-established NBL team has down their job and signed players, as evidence of some grand conspiracy on the part of the NBL??

And even if true, WTF has that got to do with Cairns?
