Lamar Patterson hints at "QLD" move

On Instagram, Patterson posted "QLD" along with the eyes emoji to his story.

Is a return to Brisbane on the cards? Or have Cairns swooped in?

Why are so many people thinking Patterson can only play small forward?? His 6'5 would slot in nicely next to noi and Machado.

It would be weird if he ended up at Cairns

Supposedly he was supposedly a priority for Brisbane, so I assumed he was out of their budget??

Judging by the imports the Bullets ended up signing though, not sure that's saying much. Still, I'd have thought a few teams would vie for his signature, so great if Cairns get him. Would be strange if the Bullets went with him given the other guys they've signed.

Could Cairns starting lineup look like this?

C - Cam Oliver
PF - Lamar Patterson
SF - Kouat Noi
SG - Rising Star
PG - Scott Machado

Would be quite entertaining to watch!

Surely going back to Bullets. They have gone budget with their other two imports, I'm thinking to save money to pay Lamar.

Their budget imports play the same position as Patterson, though. They are in dire need of a 4 man too, unless they think Te Rangi and Vukona are the answer there.

Bullets will be playing at the new netball stadium.

I like how the QLD government provided netball with a boutique 5,000 stadium yet basketball gets nothing.

Will Magnay has been carving up the QBL so perhaps he will play a bit more this upcoming season at 4 too, with Braun and Mika.

Word on the street is Lamar is a Bullet.

Looks like BrisVegas is confirmed? Some bloggers shot their load early over this one...

Strange circumstances, so I guess Bullets are contenders for the first to get rid of an import?

I'd say they are just contenders, period. Massive signing. Dude is a legit all NBL first team calibre player.

Eh, for me the Bullets have continued to make the same mistake every season since they've come back - an unbalanced roster. Heavy reliance on Mika and Hodgson, with Mika a year older and Hodgson often in foul trouble. Unless Magnay has made a significant step forward it's going to be their Achilles heel in a league this tight, even if Sobey at the 1 spot works out for them.

Mika is injury maybe Singler is just a injury replacement

Bullets played decent chunks of games last season with Te Rangi or Patterson at PF, so if this is true then fair chance they'll do it again:

Hodgson/Magnay/Harrison
Patterson/Vukona

Braun/Te Rangi

Gliddon/Singler

Sobey/Cadee

Does leave them susceptible to injury up front, but all going well that's an incredibly versatile team.

Big men in the modern game are overrated. It is about versatile wing players and that's what the bullets are loaded up with. They could very well win the title.
