The Alabama Slammer

I was just thinking about this the other day, and given some of the debates recently thought I would share.

He remains one of my all-time favourite players, probably just ahead of Grace.
Great Player, great ambassador for his team and the game.

Plus, a very humble, loyal, and considerate gentleman.

Now consider this. He was born in 1960.

So he spent the 60's growing up,
as a talented black kid,
in Wilcox County, Alabama.

I loved going into his sports store as a kid, he'd always be there chatting to fans and was a genuine nice guy.

Ok I'll rephrase what I wrote originally since it was deleted:

Where is JC living now - in the US or AU? Hopefully he is doing well.

Hes back home living in the US. He still has a keen interest in the NBL and follows the wildcats

His deleted post was not even close to what he "rephrased" above. He was throwing more mud at people based off zero evidence.
