Basketball World Cup in Australia - 2027

It would have been great if this World Cup was in Australia. Considering 2023 is decided (Japan/Philippines/Indonesia), let's try and get the 2027 World Cup. Still the potential there for an even better generation.

When we dropped out of bidding for the 2023 World Cup, BA was spruiking a bid for all 3 of the 2021 Asia Cup, 2022 Women's World Cup and 2027 World Cup. Not sure how far they've got in their grand plan.

The fact that 2019 is in Asia, the 2020 Olympics are in Asia, and then the 2023 World cup is in Asia, with just 2024 Oly's in France, expect to see the 2027 World Cup held in Europe or Sth America.

In addition to LC's post Los Angeles will host the 2028 Olympics making it a long wait for Australia to host a major tournament.
