Most Improved: Majok Deng, Pineau, Drmic, McVeigh
Rookies:

Other guys for the second/third team:

Adelaide: Daniel Johnson, Moore.
Brisbane: Patterson, sure we have room for JC?
Cairns: surely someone from Cairns has to make the 2nd or 3rd team
Hawks:
United: Long for the second team, CG43 has to be able to be squeezed in there
Breakers: We have to have a token Kiwi in there. Webster?
Cats: Hard to see Kick Kay not in the team
SEM: Could Madgen come off the bench?
Kings: Who do you leave out?

Still a good half season to go, lots can happen. Re the guards at present I'd have Casper he’s one my favourite players but if Cairns push into finals you would have to get Machado in there, he’s a gun at both ends.

Madgen has had an ordinary year. It's taken till this point and after one good game for all his media buddies to have something to talk about. Newbill for Cairns would need to be in the conversation for a second team.

How would Moore make a team? 11/4/3 for a middling side.

Pineau has a strong case for MIP. 0.6 PPG and 1.7 RPG last year with Sydney. 8.0 and 7.5 plus 0.9 SPG and 1.3 BPG this season. Can't find a way to deeplink, but look up his ADJ+/- on Spatial Jam and it's quite the jump.

Agreed with comments re Pineau's improvement.

He looked like he was out of his depth last season, but plays his role well this season (holding his own most games, keeping the "star" 5s honest.

I think he’ll look even better when Wesley returns if they play 4&5 together.

It’s hard to imagine a more a big man who’s shown greater improvement over a single year, in recent seasons. I’ve revised my opinion of his ceiling.

Deng most improved, Newley should be in at least second team, been sensational in offence and defence.
