Melbourne v Adelaide Dec 7

Just like a hair drier in a bathtub, United had a shocking round last weekend. 0-2 on the road was not a good return. After a week of organic soy lattes, the boys (sorry I assumed your gender) are ready to take on Joey Wright and the Sixers.

There's plenty at stake today. An Adelaide win sees them swap positions with Melbourne and ease into the top 4.

Melbourne have won their last 5 games at home and score an average of 102 at home. It's their safe space and last time Adelaide played there they were slayed by 19 points. Adelaide on the road though started out awkwardly, but have averaged 102 on the road in their last 3 games.

This will be a high scoring game with both teams likely to lift the bat in the fourth quarter.

You all know I can't tip against the Sixers. This is Melbourne's game to lose.

Stop saying trifecta.
It's basketball not horse racing maybe Heal wasted too much money betting on trifectas.

Goulding 300 games. It's going to be a miserable he for Adelaide.

Why are Melbourne rebounding like they don't care? Usually only one offensive rebounder, occasionally only one defensive one.

Adelaide look a lot hungrier, on the boards anyway.

Cam Luke, Heal and Homicide. The worst three man booth the NBL can put out there. All three absolute garbage.

Sixers match up incredibly badly against Melbourne. We have no one that can guard Long and we give up too many offensive rebounds which is mana from heaven for MU, who live and die with the three!

Great to see guys like Griffin, Teys, Kyei and Drmic playing hard in the 2nd qtr. But Sixers need more from DJ and Moore or they will be overwhelmed.

Joey probably won't allow it, but I think DJs only way to impact this game is to nail a few threes and force Long out of the paint.

Seriously, no defence from DJ, none from Griffin, none from Froling. We've got a young Kyei and nobody else to defend against the likes of Long

Happy birthday to Kyei for the other day, 25.

Kyei playing well, Teys , as well. Griffin on offence, no defence. Drimic has had a stand out season, should get most improved. Johnson and Randle been poor. McVeigh and Froling been shocking most season as has Moore. White and Dillon give you not a lot. Sixers can't win with so few contributors.

Griffin's best game by far for the Sixers! Giving them just a sliver of a chance. Should be bombs away in the final quarter. Just fire up the threes and see if they get lucky!

Heal is the worst, you have to earn your spot and Froling been poor. Heal talks up all his mates sons, the Frolings were talked up as the Gasol brothers by him.
Teys was good, play players that give you something. I tipped Sixers for finals but I'm disappointed in what’s gone down. Joey has run his race I think.

Why can't Sixers play defense. Credit to Griffin great game. True underrated but gave Sixers a lift. Needs more court time. Froling must be injured. And DJ needs support to space court. Jerome always a threat.. always going 100 percent. Tries hard to inspire.
Need consistency. Must he hard for joey to know how to have guys switched on. Perth shows the true Sixers ability... Need to capture that intensity.

Froling isn't injured. He has just been exposed and is trash. What the heck happened to "best shape of my life preparing for the NBA draft". He is a joke and should certainly not be re-signed.

Please Joey STOP letting Ramone Moore handle the ball. He is a shooting guard, mid range specialist, not a friggin point guard. Too sloppy with the ball.

Not enough opportunities for DJ or Drmic in this one.

Suspend Froling and don't even let him travel with the team until his conditioning is of NBL standard. Fuck, I could go out there and give the Sixers 0 points and 5 fouls myself. Waste of space.

Johnson and Moore were absolutely shithouse.
Randle should've been more aggressive, only taking 10 shots won't cut the mustard.

Teys with 16 for all the crap that bloke cops on here he seems to be one of the few playing with effort.

Should be sack Moore threads not Griffin ones. 2 pts in 5 mins great job Ramone.

Teys was money from mid range. Our only scoring for a large chunk of the game. Joey sat Randle, Drmic and DJ WAAAAAY too long in this one, so you cannot blame Jerome for only 10 shots. Most of those came in the second half and he was able to score freely.

Again the sitting of the guns. Is it to get a different look on court. Try something to create a spark or is it a statement by coach. Guys need to get confidence... draw opens up a bit next few weeks. Think Sixers can get on a roll... take care of NZ cairns hawks next few games.give give run into new year. Like to think beating Perth has set the benchmark and joey got the weapons... matter getting mental approach.. re programmed. Plenty to like if can get momentum. Tough on the road but also time to gel.

Adelaide beaten by a more talented team today

United played the basketball many expected to see from them on a more regular basis

Great signs from Prather

But Adelaide, at 6-7 and with 9 of their last 15 at home, they're a sneaky chance of taking 4th. Those last 15 games will include only 1 against each of Sydney and United.

SEM are 6-5 with 10 away games remaining. 7 home games including one against United. Of those last 17 games, 3 are against Sydney.

Don't write NZ off either

3-9 But 13 of their last 16 games are against teams other than Sydney, United and Perth.

With a full team they might have more talent than any of the competitors for 4th

Have sixers peaked. We saw there best against Perth. Can they duplicate that or maintain that intensity. Or is dynamics of team such that only 2 or 3 players can peak because they need the ball and drain others from stepping up. When DJ is on or Jerome it becomes their show. Need more from.others to impose themselves. Need a general.
