Sixers v Hawks Dec 20

For those of you living under a rock, it's 44 and horrible in Adelaide today, but I have been reliably informed that one of Jeff Van Groningen's first jobs as new GM has been to get enough $1 coins to feed the air conditioning meter at the AEC.

The bottom of the table Hawks need a little Christmas cheer and they got it with the news of Webster heading to China, and I for one welcome our new Imperial Overlords. Their new goal this season is to finish above the Breakers.

The Sixers are in fourth spot, but fourth spot is a hotly contested position with just as much action and thrills and spills. Gee, only Homicide Williams PR Manager would see more action. #TweetMaster

On the form card the Sixers have won their last 4/5 games and should have enough confidence going into this one to secure the win. Christmas comes early for the Sixers this year, but Sunday will be the test. The only question is how hard Joey goes, or will he send in the DP's to play to the last few minutes?

Regardless of the result from here, the 36ers have nothing to be proud of here. Middle of the pack team, had a huge opportunity to smack the hawks and with the Phoenix losing too, create some separation on the ladder. This team will be smacked by the big 3 teams.

Clearly you don't know a lot about the NBL. Most teams that have money take their injured players away. Makes no sense bit that's what they do.

That's as bad a loss as the 36ers have suffered in recent years. That’s the sort of loss that can kill off a season, mentally they looked shot. That hawks team was so undermanned, insane result when you think about it.

I'm not certain hunger is the coaches department, professional players should do that them selves. Joey doesn’t pick balanced teams imo, to many flash and show guys and not enough grunt, and White, Teys, McVeigh, Froling don’t count as grunt. The four spot is critical defensively if your five is more an offensive player. Drimic is a two guard, not a three so if you got Randle as a point guard you need a good three and D guy in the three. Anyway just a few thoughts.

But again will be interesting to see how they back up.

Adelaide, well that's the beauty of the NBL. Few weeks back they wupped Perth.

And no, I wouldn't blame Randle. I don't think any Joey team is going to win with 84 points. They need more contributors, can just rely on DJ and Randle. Drmic and Moore just seem to be in a rough patch.

36ers just didn't bring the intensity, Griffins defence sucks, Randle stifles the offence by holding the ball up too much.

Generally, 36ers also missed shots that they would normally get when performing better.

Adelaide got murdered in the paint early on then didn’t defend the perimeter very well, that’s a guaranteed concoction of failure
