Phoenix v Hawks Dec 28

In SA today is Proclamation Day and maybe, just maybe The Hawks might just Proclaim their intentions to keep fighting.

Since their "mini-shakeup", they have won a game and narrowly lost their last one against the Breakers. On the "last 5 game table" they are well and truely bottom, which means the only way is up. Phoenix are also on the bottom of that table too with 1 and 4 so both teams are not travelling well.

Phoenix with more to lose as they are still in the hunt for top 4 should be hungrier and meaner, but the Hawks have walked 500 miles.

Phoenix by 1

WTF does Proclamation Day in SA have to do with an Illawarra team playing in Melbourne?

What a crap intro

Losing your touch Jack come on mate.
Last thing we want is D2.0 doing game write ups.

Hawks are rubbish they got lucky against Adelaide.

Phoenix by 8.

6ers are crap which is why the Hawks got the W last time.

Both sides are struggling, who turns up gets the win. Sixers at home by around ten. Hawks got nothing to play for but pride.

Lovebroker

Give the man some poetic licence here.

I think SEM will win this one, so they'll probably lose it.

At least Adelaide can’t lose this game.

I hope for both these teams' sakes that it's competitive and also that the trend of SEM crowds getting smaller and smaller is reversed.

Lovebroker, are you new here and is it your first game intro you've read by the great Jack Toft!? He always uses current events, local, interstate and if he is so game, international ones to tie in with game intros!! Wouldn’t matter if it were picnic day in NT or Independence Day in the US or some current affair controversy, he will weave it in.

Might be time to start brokering some love toward the man who consistently provides witty and satirical game intros....

Is Proclamation Day similar to Foundation Day?

He is usually good.
His Scott Ninnis comment was silly only an old sixer fan would know or care when his birthday was.

Yet to find anyone on the forum do better than Jack for write ups though.

My personal favourite was last week (or the week before) when there was a soy reference made in a non-Melbourne game thread.

I'm surprised he didn't mention Cairns beating Perth in Perth again. He got some mileage out of that.

Sorry if anyone hasn't found it a little witty, sadly sarcasm only works on clever people

With the way these teams play D, should be an entertaining last 3 quarters, if nothing else.

How was it sarcasm? Did you mean satire? Well it wasn't that either.

Didnt the WILDCATS score 70 pts in the first half against the Kings the other week or were they talking about the total points in a half.

The wildcats did score 70 in first half.

Interesting that he said he couldnt wait to leave the Jazz. I remember seeing a interview that he did when he was in Melbourne when the USA were playing there saying it was a great team to play for.

JAck its neither witty nor sarcasm. I love wit and sarcasm, I excel in both.

It's shit.

Just stop.

If Lovebroker doesn't recognise it as wit or sarcasm, odds are good that you're doing something right.

Phoenix can shoot the lights out but their defence is abysmal.
Sydney or Perth would destroy them if they made playoffs.
