Been discussed ad nauseam, but no way that is true - not even the most expensive team in the league this year. My money would be on the team fighting for the #4 spot.

The Sydney hate is presumably a lot more for non-basketball reasons than anything else. Otherwise, we've been generally lousy and stuffed up more opportunities than anyone over the past 3 seasons. Before that, we were poorly run and mostly a budget team ever since coming back from folding.

Cairns could easily win it all, I think. Having to win twice in Perth (most likely) is a tough ask, but it's a hell of a lot of pressure on Perth in game 1, also.

Over a 5 game series I think i'd favour Cairns over any team in the league regardless of homecourt advantage.

Sort of true. Have to say, the discussion with a couple of the season ticket holders around us this year has been about who unattractive our brand of basketball has been generally - sort of a less exaggerated Houston Rockets, where everything is on the rim or from 3 (with a strong emphasis on the later). And we have guys who can put heat on the rim, but we go through large stretches where it's just all 3s. A part of it I would say though has been our continual changing rotations due to injuries and bringing in new faces.

The ownership group has put more of an emphasis on fan interaction and Kings school visits and things this season than the last couple of years though which hopefully gets things back to the state they were when I was a kid. Attendance has also been really good in general, and I think the game-day experience is improving game-by-game.

Naturally I would like to see the Cats win,
but I would also be stoked to see Cairns win. So yeah if Sydney make the GF, either way I'll be screaming for the other team.

As for the semi, yeah I'd like to s them lose.

Does Bogut do this? I can imagine it's beneath him, never saw him do anything like that when he was in his prime in the NBA. Honest question though, we see all the Cats guys visiting rural parts of WA all the time including Cotton and Terrico very regularly.
