Been a great player for lots of years and so underrated by many. Congratulations Tom, well deserved.

Hopson didn't play enough games to qualify?

Seems strange that Hopson didn't win but I don't know what their voting system is

I believe Director of Awards voted at each game for MVP

Rice didn't win? He's the league's leading scorer according to the NBL website.

I mean no disrespect to Abercrombie, I have loved his career, but any voting system that doesn't have Hopson as your team MVP isn’t right.

Maybe it's the NZ-born player MVP award.

Their season hasn't even finished yet. How have they already done the MVP?

The award is voted by the players themselves.

The Breakers give out 2 MVP awards - the fans MVP voted by the members (won by Hopson) and the MVP voted by the team (won by Abercrombie).
