Can Melbourne United beat Sydney?

Have they turned it around and can they now beat Sydney?

I was just about to say yes - Melbourne have enough talent to beat anyone in a series - but if Moller is back then forget it.

The only silver lining is that Melbourne have a better chance to beat Sydney than Brisbane.

Put it this way the Kings would've been hoping like hell SEM won today, the last thing they wanted was running into United in the playoffs again.

Having said that this is a very different United team to last season but they do have the talent to cause an upset.

Sydney in 2. By 20 at home, by 15 in Melbourne.

It all starts again, anyone can win it, lot of tongue in cheek re Moller but in Melbourne winning year he was very good, same at Sydney this season till injury. I can see a three game play off, hopefully the bad decisions are shared equally.

Answer yes Melbourne can win it but Sydney slight favourites.

Even if he made a remarkable recovery, Prather is done for the year. He only played 6 games so he doesn't qualify for finals.

When Barlow hits 12-15 at high %, Melbourne have the offence to beat anyone.

If CG and Barlow are hitting threes at a good clip then everything opens up. Who knows.

In all likelihood though, this goes like the season series- Sydney comfortably.

Long v Bogut should be interesting. If Long can consistently hit from range Bogut will struggle to cover. I don't think United have a matchup for Tate. If Barlow gets in early foul trouble which is the norm Smith-Milner will get smashed. I hope Vickerman lets him know the three ball isn’t his game - just seems to put them up at a terrible clip with no conscience. Agreed United a chance but everything would have to click.

Brisbane would have had a better shot imo.
