Thoughts on upcoming Boomers Coaching staff announcement
Longley already stepping aside I think Weaver and Caporn stick around, Adding tot he fold personally for its Trevor Gleeson with out a doubt.

Gleeson pulled out for the World Cup from memory. Doubt he would put his hand up especially with his wife's history with cancer
Tokyo isn't going to be COVID-19 free and people with compromised immune systems are more susceptible. I’d expect Gleeson wouldn’t take the risk unless there is a vaccine by then.
Gaze you are kidding. He will make more money doing media but please not as a Boomers Coach. I hope BB isn't that stupid.

Should BB take one for the team, and spare us listening to Gaze commentate?
Seriously though, given nobody would really object, why wouldn't he just bring assistants with him that he already knows and trusts?
I think Bevo and Gleeson would be out, as they both wanted his job.
(Both excellent coaches who would add value, but just don't think the dynamic would work.)
Does anyone know what exactly Nielsen is doing currently, because he would also be an excellent assistant.

I'm not certain if Gleeson is liked or not liked but he surely must be in line to coach Australia after the next Olympics are over.
Nielsen would be a good assistant for the next Olympics.

Gleeson was asked not to come back. To much of a spectator and tourist rather than a coach - that's Fact before all you Perth fans get your panties in a bunch
Maybe Anstey could take Longleys role.
Have a feeling Brown is going to be fired from Philadelphia unless they make ECF so should have plenty of time to prepare.

Gleeson took away an all nbl side on the last trip, can't be to out favour.
All NBL side has nothing to do with Basketball Australia and the boomers smh

due to the time frames as he will have little time to prepare after NBA season is finished. I expect the assistants will all come from the philadelphia program, plus Matt Nielsen and Adam Caporn.

Far out an expert on the Euro or South American game would be wise given we'll have to beat a Euro like Spain, France, Argies, Serbia to medal but it will be another one from the BigBen camp

Only in Australia and especially in basketball circles do we trash an all time coach.
Don't understand the hate. We should appreciate what he’s achieved and the work he’s put in to get there.

People just hate because they are cowards and losers when they are face to face with people. Haters much more comfortable being tough slagging anybody to make themselves feel better about life. Gleeson has had more success than any other Current coach in the NBL by a mile but wankers want to hate because they are wankers.
