Geez I can't wait till the wnbl get takenovee, look at the disparity between those teams.

How is Bendigo a wnbl side... simply can’t afford the players necessary to compete.

How do they plan to play the WNBL and NBL when all the state borders will be closed well into next year?

Why would games be played in WA the Premier doesn't want anyone to go into his state.

No hub for WNBL......no cash to make this happen

The question wasn't around money it was how with Border closures. Governments are happy to grant exemptions (AFL, NRL, Netball...). But the next hurdle would be who pays and without considerable government funding it’s very unlikely to occur because BA are as good as broke.

What would be the estimated cost for a club to go into a "hub" ? It would be too expensive?

11 players
2 coaches
Team manager

Two assistant coaches more likely, plus physio, plus trainer, plus GM, plus media/comms person per team.
In addition, some players also have children with them that may also need to be accommodated.

If they went to a smaller town with basketball facilities it would be a lot cheaper as the local hotel, motels would welcome the business. Nine teams working on an average of 20 per team to allow for medical staff, refs etc would be 180 people. $200 dollars a day for food and accommodation equals $36000 a day. If the hub is required for the whole season I can't see it unless the government pays which would be good the local communities or tv deal is done because people want to watch sport over summer months, certainly if you are all locked in doors. You could maybe use two smaller communities like they did in pre season at Traralgon and neighbouring suburb.

Not really, she's going to bully all the other centres. Avg 25/10.

Good exp for the next crop of centres, Aokuso, scherf etc.
More exp for Magbegor and smith.
Tolo and George reachingthe end of opals career and allen is too short for next level and Ernst more of a pf.

If Ernst could play defense, she would be back in opals mix in 22' given there is little depth there.

Would clubs be paying this "hub" scenario or will the government? If clubs are paying there's no hope.
What’s this tv/media deal... never heard about it.

Clubs can't pay all ten players a decent wage, how on earth are they going to afford to pay to put players, coaches, team managers, Physios and trainers , plus any partners or children into a hub , with no backers and no crowds , it’s a 'no way in hell" scenario, can’t see the WNBL even getting off the ground at this rate.

As for Cambage back in the league, it will be interesting to see just how quickly she gets thrown out of a game , though with no crowds she won’t have a live audience to play up too for attention, so she may actually last the full four quarters lol.

Federal government gave Foxtel $10 million for women's sport, let them pay, that’s on top of $30 million the previous year.

They couldn't get live-stream sorted for most of the season,

Yet you coukd watch nbl1 on YouTube without a hitch.

I don’t think lj and co are doing a good job, 10 + years of bs now
