You sound like you're almost rejoicing that children won’t play tie year in Vic.

772, how exactly do you get that out of what the OP said?
Talk about over analysing!

Insensitive post and subject line. Just a bit of a dick, if would have thought.

OP here, Unsure how the post is insensitive... merely stating a fact that we probably wont see organised ball til next year. In fact, I wouldve thought a January start would be optimistic for any sane person to hope for given the state of current events/thresholds for easing etc.

Suppose I could've changed the subject line to something more palatable and apologise if Ive caused offence but calling someone a dick anonymously in times like this sounds a little low/hypocritical to me...

Yep dickhead Victorians keep breaking the rules even on QLD! OP is spot on. There will lucky to be an NBL in 2021 for the 20/21 season.

Yep headline was poor. That was insensitive. Clearly trying to wind people up. Reflect a little.

Covid may well have killed the NBl. Larry loses $50mill with the tax write offs.

NBL doesn't have to play in Melbourne. AFL didn't.

Agree. No chance of any VJBL games this year. Clubs can get teams outdoors in November/December hopefully to do skills based work, followed by tryouts in January.

Then have grading games in term 1 next year, followed by a regular season start in term 2. Finals will need to be condensed down to 1 week for this to work.

Big V season will be delayed until a May start

No melb no nbl it's pretty simple

NBL can’t afford the bubble as tv money isn’t writing the cheque.

Also lk’s significant melb property investments are worth it less than yesterday

Big V will not delay a March start. Nbl1 may delay to May but L doubt that also. They want to play and will both push on.

Vjbl will discuss with associations and then associations will do wait is best in their location. As in regional will push ahead with trials prior to December and then train over Christmas. Let's face it if parents can work over Christmas V holiday they will work.

Presume clueless not in regard to Big V message. If you involved in Big V you are aware they are and have been very positive to get started.

DHHS said today the only hard date is the 28th of September, but all other dates can be brought forward! Is that a cause for hope

Where's that fool Hoop Star?
Sure he has a way the "game can survive" or at least half a clue. Just ask him.

Haha, Hope of sooner... you think the Victorian Governments contact tracing has the ability to perform better than any other relevant sized city in the world, keep dreaming.

Vic government shown they couldn't trace anything....

Melb suburbs are over crowded hell holes and this has just shown it.

Not certain the Victoria government got it that wrong, didn't the federal government pay there mates plus advertising 60 plus million for an app that’s supposed to track the virus through your phone. Now that’s worked well, lol.

I'm sure Hoop Star can fix contact tracing.
