Well, provided OKC have double the budget of any other team, free access to poach any player they want, and can find a better league than the NBA from which to draw extra players,

Then he should be able to make the Grand Final, before failing in embarrassing fashion.

Finding (paying) for better imports is Trev's thing.
One import not doing well enough, that’s ok sack him and go buy an NBA player to close out the season and finals. Couldn’t do that is he coached a Illawarra or cairns team

Think there's a reason why he's the only coach in the nbl that the biggest baddest sports league in the world wants to fly him out and talk with him some more.

You've obviously not dealt with many Americans before.

It's well known fact that the rest of the world doesn't even speak American and needs Americans to tell them how to do everything.

Weaver is of interest because he previously won COTY in the G-League, not because he's been holidaying in the jungle teaching locals to shoot hoops in his spare time.
They would excuse his miserable failure on the basis of the language-barrier, and that we play the game with coconuts.

Houston Rockets assistant. Just a guess. He grew up in Texas. Family there. Think wife went to medical school there. Some nba team is going to want him. Tate in Houston.

What would an assistant coach earn, is he better staying in the nbl and bidding his time.

Wide range for assistant coaches in NBA. He'll be 1st chair. So 600k to 1.2.. way more than he's making now. Plus the NBA probably going to be here next year. Nbl without fans in seats will not.
