OKC trade CP3 to Phoenix for Rubio, Oubre, etc

Woj: The deal sends Chris Paul and Abdel Nader to the Suns for Kelly Oubre, Ricky Rubio, Ty Jerome, Jalen Lecque and a 2022 first-round pick, sources tell ESPN.

Charania: Sources: Suns' future first to the Thunder is protected 1-12 in 2022, 1-10 in 2023, 1-8 in 2024 and unprotected in 2025.
You'd think Rubio will get traded again, though at some stage the Thunder will need to acquire players rather than purely picks.

OKC have done amazing is getting off the contracts of Russ and then CP3 and getting some value in return, while remaining competitive.

OKC surely wont be competitive this season. Nor are they trying to be. which is probably a good thing.

SGA gets a year of getting his ass whooped to develop. Oubre gets to be a clear #2 option. Can see Oubre chucking up something like 21-6-2 and a steal

Will be interesting to see where Adams ends up. Boston could certainly use an inside presence

Cram,

I reckon Boston tries their hand at Myles turner as a first point of call and then Stevo/Drummond if Drummonds value is tanked that bad.

Adams to Sacramento would also be nice, but i feel the only guy OKC should be targetting in this kind of deal with them is Buddy Hield. SAC basically gave him a "F you" move to the bench in favour of Bogdanovic despite Hield as a starter putting up something like 21-5-2 shooting 3s at about 43%

Reckon OKC move Adams and a future pick for Hield. Adams is expiring so he also gives the kings $25 mil of cap freedom if he walks, but also gives them a decent interior big man to pair with the perimiter centric Bagley should he decide to stay fit. on the flipside, Hield is an adpoted Oklahoman, so he would prob stay in OKC long term, having came directly from the islands to Oklahoma for 4 years and loved every bit of it!

Get it in Presti

OKC are having a great off season. They've now moved Green, who they got in addition to picks for Schroeder, to Philly for Al Horford a future 1st and #34 in this years draft.

while Hordford's deal was considered awful, if he stays in OKC, I can see him rehabing his rep enough that OKC will be able to find him a deal next off season or at worst the one after when he's expiring.

Presti is getting it done.
