Klay Thompson injured - ruptured Achilles confirmed

Warriors All-Star guard Klay Thompson suffered a lower leg injury on Wednesday and is undergoing tests to determine the severity of the injury, the team announced Wednesday.

The current worry is that he suffered a significant Achilles injury, according to Yahoo Sports' Chris Haynes. An MRI is reportedly scheduled for Thursday morning.

Thompson suffered the injury during a workout in Southern California, according to ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski. Thompson was unable to place weight on his lower right leg while leaving the gym, according to The Athletic's Shams Charania.

A source told The Undefeated's Marc Spears that Thompson's injury was "Not good."

Would've otherwise been in a reasonable position, bringing back three of the killer lineup, adding a mobile big, rolling the Wiggins dice, etc. Short offseason doesn't help anything.

A few of the other teams are only getting stronger this offseason too.

Topic header can always be updated when more is known but it does sound more like an Achilles related matter than an ACL

Will never happen, but Rockets should just tank, send Harden for Klay and Minnesota pick next year. Then Westbrook for bad salary and picks. Then later send Tucker and Gordon to contenders for more picks. Then when Klay is recovered, send him for more picks. Quite simply, burn it to ground. Not going to be contender and have mortgaged future so get those picks back. Sucks to be Klay, maybe gentleman's agreement to send back to warriors season after for Wiggins.

Official, done for season with Achilles.
And ^ Kobe was in final stage of career when he did Achilles but it did affect him. Jordan never did Achilles.

The comment by #837 was no one comes back from injury the same. That is just quite simply incorrect.
