Chelsea? History repeating...

It seems as Chelsea had its AGM last year there was a huge post on here about a certain member... Now that member is rumoured to be running for President! Somehow the lesson hasn't been learned and it appears Chelsea are already paying for not listening to the members... I know of at least a dozen people personally that are leaving due to gross negligence and a committee willing to support the 'misogynistic pig’. Just from them alone I’ve heard of a significant portion of their indispensable and vital staff, stats, scorers and referees... And then of course, who could miss the huge announcement of Peter Caspersz going to Southern Pen?! That man has been the club for countless years, to make him leave opens up that there must be some significant issues... Hoping for positive turnarounds from the club!

No one posting with any actual information on what has happened at Chelsea. Just pointless random posts written in code with out actually explaining what has happened.

Actually post done detail or save the buttons on your Keyboard.

I think that's the point of the post ^ Is to give the little facts that can be put together with the intention of someone knowing something more

Why is Chelsea constantly mentioned here? It's a club that barely gets teams into metro and has historically had very little player or coach development. If they want the family atmosphere for participation model they've had who cares. Players who want a more professional environment shuffle over to Frankston anyway.

Not sure that's the right test. It’s not an insignificant association with 30 or so teams. Not in VC, but still a sizeable organisation. No doubt you are from Frankston or just like trolling or both.

Does anyone seriously care? I for one don't. It;s a local Vic club and here we have an audience from all over Oz. A storm in a tea cup of course but so important to the locals involved. But would the locals all be here?

No association to Frankston. Complete other side of town. If Chelsea want participation that's fine. But they're no way shape or form a factor at all at VC or any high level grades. They have the talent in their pool of players, but zero development structures to really achieve anything at the top end.

Um, Chelsea is about 4 suburbs away from Frankston. They have very little talent and appear to lack structure of any kind

They run top age bottom age all the way through to 21s, if you want a chance of playing VC pick your best players each season with your best coach and give them all the elite training they need and want.

Yep, agree with the that. Waverley takes the same approach. Kids develop at different ages and so it just doesn't make sense.

I can't think of many clubs that do well with player development that still do top/bottom age. It really hinders the development as it lowers the playing standard and grade that teams can make.

Who is DR. Why draw Frankston into this as like comparing apples to pears. ...one they plays NBL1 and have a successful junior program the other plays out of a school !!!

Best CLub in Adelaide plays out of a School. Got a few Classic titles to their name too.

How much of a snob can you be. Working with a school ensures maximum usage of courts.

Chelsea Gulls... YOUR MEMBERS DESERVE TO KNOW!!!

What are you doing?!

• Trying to pass through a new constitution with zero consultation, still living in a fantasy world that you have no members except life members
• President - Resigned
• Vice President - suspended unconstitutionally and then resigned
• Not enough referees to run a competition after Christmas due to walkouts??
• Your two employees being treated like shit and being forced to work unpaid hours.
• A DOC paid from club money for months through COVID to have only one single post of communication in this time!

What has caused this split in the board? How and why have the Pres and VP been forced out?
Why is Standefer still involved ? He is no DOC and on last years form finished as a player.

Ok committee member. Time to wake up and see the damage caused by this committee. The Committee let the members down by letting the lazy DOC get away with doing nothing for 9 months and giving up on the kids. What is his hourly rate for 2 facebook posts in 9 months. Send him home and save the $$$$ for the kids and the club.

Improving??
How??
President resigned.
VP stood down under guise of a suspension

DOC has done nothing in 9 months and been paid the whole time.

The committee is damaging any sort of reputation they had with their underhanded and dirty tactics.

They have also kicked out the heart of their club.

The leftover committee members are being controlled by a member who has been removed from multiple clubs.

They have no constitution, no model rules and according to their constitution, no current members.

Yeah I'd be jumping on the Chelsea 'improvements train tomorrow. Not.

DOC is an import not an Aussie citizen. They are still paying both of their imports and the club knows they have both been applying at other stadiums. Go to Chelsea if you want thousands of dollars thrown at you and you just want to sit at home doing nothing. Send imports home and save thousands.
