Harden, Tate have heated exchange

From Shams of the athletic:

For instance, The Athletic learned that Harden has had multiple verbal confrontations with teammates in practice on Sunday and Monday, and one confrontation included Harden throwing a basketball at a teammate on Monday.

Sources say Harden and rookie Jae'Sean Tate had a heated exchange during Monday’s practice, culminating in Harden throwing the ball in Tate’s direction. The ball did not hit Tate. Interactions like these between teammates during practice can be part of a normal, competitive environment. Harden, however, is known by those in the organization as a laid-back and calm personality —especially as superstars go — and some around the franchise are viewing this as rising to an uncharacteristic level of frustration given his ongoing situation.

So Harden doesn't want to be there, and while he’s there he is starting to crack it.

There’s a bit too much control had by stars in the NBA where they can get away with putting a metaphorical gun to the head of ownership and just about choose what team they play for despite being in a contract.

Willingness to "blow things up" if they don’t get their way has started to pervade the league

He's also apparently been spotted at another strip club when the league has put a ban on pubs and clubs over the players.

Tate must have gotten a bit too close to Jim's favourite stripper.

From The Age

The James Harden soap opera in Houston now comes with a cancelled season opener - and a $US50,000 (about $66,000) fine for the league's leading scorer.

Houston's opener against the Oklahoma City Thunder on Thursday (AEDT) was scrapped after coronavirus cases and Harden's violation of the NBA's COVID-19 protocols left the Rockets without the league-mandated eight players available.

It was a dispiriting blow to the NBA on just the second night of an uncertain season launching with the pandemic still raging.

The NBA announced the postponement in a release that said three Rockets players had returned tests that were either positive or inconclusive and that four other players were quarantined because of contract tracing.

Tate plus 16 @11 and 3, Carmelo Anthony minus 15. No sign of Weaver on the bench, hopefully not one of the covid outs. Tate looks good.

Tate fantastic in ot loss. No sign of Weaver. Maybe the nba should be casting an eye over a few more nbl talent, Creek would consider himself unlucky but there are others.

Creek would consider himself unlucky. Unbiased people would consider him too small. But great to see Tate doing well anyway.
