Nick Kay

Thought I should put this in its own thread.

Sure, Kay has shown that as a professional, he's prepared to go where the action is.
But if and when he returns to play in the NBL unless there is some massive offer, he's going to head in one of two directions.
Either as close as he can to his family in Tamworth, OR
back to his wife's family in Perth.

Hard to say how well he's doing in Spain. His team is getting flogged, but he's top 10 for O-Boards. He's only averaging 9.4 points, but it's hard to say if that's chicken or egg.
As someone else commented, as a team-First player, he may struggle in a poor team.

He's not struggling. Stop looking at numbers and watch one of their games.

^Sos, should have been clearer, "he may struggle to put up big SCORES in a poor team"

But also, as an import, he'll be held to a different standard, and they may want somebody with a bigger impact on the scoreboard.

Well they've just signed Randle so points won’t be required of him.

Kay team got pumped again overnight, in last place. He was back in the starters, they look like a total crap team. He's certainly not performing like he has done in the last few seasons in Perth. His team just got new coach and Randle to arrive.

So basically, statistically he's doing well?

You do understand the Spanish league is a lower-scoring league yeah?

Imports averaging less than 10 per game is not great

Well if Catalini did it, Kay will too.

Hoping Kay wouldn't go to Brisbane to be closer to family, it's where players go if they want to kill their Boomers career.

So low scoring in low scoring league is a positive thing
