Kings Injury Woes Continue

Didi expected out for 4 weeks according to the Kings injury update, which is a bit surprising. Looks like the kind of ankle sprain we've seen countless times when a guy lands on another guy's foot, figured it was a game or two, but hey, it's Didi. Angus Glover, strained ACL will be re-evaluated in 4 weeks. Cooks and Kickert out for at least two more weeks, I imagine in Cooks' case that would be overly optimistic.

2 starters, the 6th man, and a rotation guy. Looking like its going to be a long season.

Injuries bad but loss Bogut is the big problem, Martin offers no rim protection or defence at the basket. Hunter still learning. Newley could play bit2 and Moller a bit 3. The list is short on players and will compete but wins look hard. Tough year for first year coach.

They have 2 games v 36ers and then Phoenix. If they can win these games and get through the month they still got a shot.

They will be lucky to win one.

They don't defend anywhere near what they did last season. Not a playoff team at all.

Of course they don't cause they start Moller and have Cooks out. They don’t have the talent to defend

Bogut is the big out, Cooks got eaten by Kay and wasn't great.

Loss of Tate on D hurts more than the banged-up 2019-20 Bogut IMO.

^^^ not a chance, kings getting beaten around the ring. Bogut was fine at seasons start but got worse as season went on. Tate was an ok defender but not outstanding.

Bigs aren't the issue for them, the need wings. Hunter is fine as a five and can play alongside Martin if needed - especially against Adelaide and SEM.

Illawarra went through the same thing last season with injuries. Apparently the coaching was solely to blame, I hope Forde is allowed a little more leeway.

@ bolt, you must be watching a different kings team, Bogut has retired, there defence around the basket and rim protection has been average at best, even Forde in his press conference said it. Humphries could have a picnic to night.

"Isn't David Andersen still a free agent" Yep and there is a reason he doesn't have a gig nor you a clue.

Didi and Cooks have had lot injuries in short professional careers, this can at times be bad luck, lack of physical training so not hard enough at game time. It can also mean some people can play through pain and others can't, Creek playing today after doing an ankle on Friday and flying back from Perth. To be fair to Cooks his injuries to always seem to be quite severe.
Kickett return should help offensively, Didi has not started season as good as last season but clearly these two should help when back in the next couple weeks.
