Brisbane v Cairns Jan 30

Brisbun hosts Cairns in the first of the Queensland derby. Roll out your banana lounge because the banana benders have some work to do tonight.

Cairns got off to a great start, but have lost 19 quarters in a row - ? Did I hear that correctly? Time to get a wriggle on before this season slips away. Sometimes it hard to drain the swamp when the crocodiles are biting but this game is a crucial game for these guys. Lose this and you're 1 and 5 and hoping Palaszczuk closes the borders so you can save some face and play some cane toad golf. They certainly don't want to see XXXX against their name, let alone be forced to drink the beer.

Brisbun Firty Sixers are not is a strong position either 1 and 2 could quickly turn to 1 and 3 whereas 2 and 2 keeps them mid-pack. This is an opportunity for them to keep their season alive with a stirring win, unless they shoot themselves in the foot.

Bullets to win by a bunch of bananas

Commentary asking why Newbill not playing nbl, I'd say player salary cuts might have a lot to do with it. Good money in Japan.

Last seasons Cairns is back, at least the first half. Brisbane are teasers, who knows what's in there heads. Heal gave Cadee a rap for a pass a ten year olds could do but surprisingly was critical of him not doing enough.
I still prefer the nba, one caller, one expert in the hub and one sideline eye. Hooley doing ok.

With two weeks quarantine, perhaps the Bullets should start seriously considering cutting bait on Orlando.

I've been watching his defence on and off ball through three quarters. Absolutely no effort, Machado has been doing as he pleases.

Output on the offensive end easily covered by Cadee, Sobey and Drmic.

Generally been underwhelming, no clear role, surely better options on the market that will boost the team.

Home cooking is woeful. Deng had good game but dumb play. Why is Kenny shooting threes.

So law can dive on players no problem, anyone else it's a foul. The refs have been disgusting.

Pretty sweet 90s Starter Bullets baseball-style jersey sighted in the front row. You don't see too many of them around anymore.

Is Heal commentating from another bunker? (ie his home)

And what's up with King?

Possibly as I don't think he lives in Melbourne?

OT!

Sobey too cute and tried to be the hero, poor shot choice to end the 4th. Nobody else from the team even touched the ball in that last possession.

I think Heal must have been working from the Sydney commentary hub that's been mentioned.

Great game, but agree Orlando isn't up to the nbl standard.

Interesting to see Harrison favoured over Froling and Hodgson.

Harrison is a great pick up! I'm really enjoying watching him play.

Yep Harrison is great, better than Froling. Actually plays like a 7 footer and has good hands/touch around the basket. Decent anchor for your defense too.
