History made when his poor recruiting is responsible for missing finals. Hope Bryce citizenship comes in so we can go spend up big again to get another nba big to save our season

Trev is the GOAT and thats all there is to it. Best coach. Best culture guy. Will have most wins.

How dumb can some of you be !?! This team does not need another big they need a guard to help Cotton score the damn ball & run the team

044 - Gaze actually DID say that Gleeson inherited a very good team from Bevo and then has made the program even more successful. Pay attention to the coverage cobber before you go running your mouth worse than Trev does in the sidelines

He's a gun coach, helps having Cotton but Gleeson knows how to move the pieces.

Every good coach has had good players. Seems Trev is the only one who gets criticised for it.

As was said on the commentary Trev runs the flex, the whole world knows it. It's all the little counters and variations that set him apart. Even the other week that play that for Jesse open was outstanding. Credit where it is due, the man is one of the greats.

Surprised to see how good Scott Fishers win/loss record is at 137/78. He didn't have a super team as i remember it but a better % than Bevo.

And Alan black with the same record as trev but was sacked twice! Lol

Na it's not 137 wins and 78 losses. It's 78 wins from 137 games.

Scott fisher was working with Peter Crawford's of the world . Rashers Tucker was to busy smoking pot . Alex Loughton was his only legit player. Fisher was a damn good coach.

Hurley was their greatest coach, he built the club into what its developed into today - which wasn't easy when you consider how perf was viewed back in those days nationally. 30 years of continuous success starts somewhere.

Trev is bloody deserving though, he may have been born in a lemon tree but he’s an incredible coach.

Trev was average at Townsville and garbage in Melbourne.

He finally found his home at Perf, where he inherited the perfect team to continue his career.

The guy doesn't develop young players at all. He is just milking Cotton for all he is worth and hoping for the best. Big fish, little pond - not good enough to make the NBA, but good enough to kill it in the NBL. While coaches like Lemanis helped Torrey Craig and Will Magnay get to the NBA, but it labelled a shit coach.

You also know you are scraping the bottom of the barrel when Wagstaff is your captain.

The part about Gleeson not developing young talent at Perth sounds right.

Seeing other clubs get quality rookies constantly .

Gleeson there to win championships, five at the last count, if he developed players on the way, good, but that's not his role. I’ve seen a lot worse players in the nba than Cotton, he’s an absolute gun and Gleeson uses him accordingly. Kay was a reasonable player when he got to Perth, Gleeson took his strengths and made him a star, I’d say that’s development.

Sometimes you should look through your eyes with intelligence instead of stupidity.

It hasn't been Gleesons job in the last seven years to develop young talent. It's been to win titles. He's won five. I'd say he's done ok!

Like the guy said before.
Without money trev didn't win. Now his on a team that spends more than anyone else and he wins. Imagine if Joey Wright took this team, everyone would be saying Joey is the greatest of all time.

Trev was average at Townsville...

Five straight playoffs, a third place and a second place finish, a COTY award, all with a budget team compared to other clubs. Yeah, so average.

For anyone believing stacked rosters = automatic championships regardless of coaching, please see, Andrew Gaze, Dean Demopolous, Dean Vickerman the last two seasons, will Weaver.

And you think he had a great season because of work put in during that season, not because of work put in during prior seasons?

How does getting quality rookies equate to developing talent?

I dislike Gleeson personally but must admit he's a coaching legend.

Gleeson has had talent at his disposal but unlike many others, has consistently got that talent working together effectively.

His short stint at the Tigers however, is a black mark on his resume.
