Drawing lines in sand
Last year the media reported the 6ers stating it was time to draw the line in the sand when they were moving Coach Wright and his staff on. Statements on the need to build a championship program back to where it was. This year the league has greater parity with only 2 imports allowed for a small town team like the 6ers to really "step over that line in the sand". Instead, it seems that the 6ers are now staring down the abyss. How as our team gone since it was acquired by current ownership?
I noted that late last year the owner was running for a Chairmanship of the Adelaide Crows. Was intrigued when they announced the board he was not even offered a board position. What happened here? You would think with all the commercial and sport experience, political contacts and networks there would at least be a position the board. Why did the Crows steer clear?
I note that Vincinity Centre's shareholder value has been eroded by over 50% in the past 3 yrs, the organisation the Owner is the CEO of. Would this be a significant failure?
Is a pattern emerging here? Have we inherited a complete and utter twit? Any other potential owners waiting in the wings? Just beggers the questions. Thoughts everyone.
