SYD v ILL Mar 11

Can we call these two teams brothers? Gorj took great delight in beating his old team last time they played and with both teams needing wins to keep in touch with the 4, the $50,000 question is whether Illawarra can take Sydney out of prize money contention for the NBL Cup. They won't finish 1 or 2, but a 36ers B win and a Kings loss will make it hard for the Violet crumbles to finish third.

No Kickett but Martin returns, that has to be a big plus for the kings. The hawks struggling of late but always turn up against big brother. Who knows but kings need this to stay in the money hunt.

Sydney should win rather easily.

Gorgs magic has well and truly worn off and the Hawks look like the hawks of old devoid of any idea how to actually play.

How many play each team?Ots is true 36 games each? Why so many game with limited import and discount budget? Why not 22 games at least..

Regular season is usually 28 games then add the 8 NBL cup games to the schedule and turns into 36.

But that's a lot of games...with two import? By the time they reach 30 games most of the player will injure..

The number of imports doesn't impact the ability to finish a season. Sydney had 5 imports last season and couldn't manage to finish the grand final series.

Yeah Perth had to buy an nba centre because the team they had couldn't get it done

Teams have to plan ahead to avoid the 30 game injury threshold

Every season from now on should be 36 games, ten team comp. play Wednesday to Monday.

Anyone writing of hawks don't give them justice. This will be tight.

Is this supposed to be an indictment of Perth?

Aren't you supposed to 'do something' when you know something is not working?

What is going on with Goorjans red wheels tonight?

Goorj challenges like Federer used to do, got no idea. Forde subs like he's at a rank chasing down taxis, no feel on what’s happening. Martin back but other commentators telling us how good he is has end up minus 8.

Sometimes watching Goorj on the sideline is almost as entertaining as the game itself.

Has Forde lost the players, they don't look happy. Maybe Kelly and Forde should swap places.

Starting Bruce and Moller on the bench and playing dp ahead of rostered players is Einstein coaching.

Goorjian suggested constantly being on the road as an excuse for both the Hawks and Kings records.

Hawks have had more away games then anyone else.

Then to have games in melbourne and call them home games seriously.

They have infact had only one proper game in the Gong so far.

Excuse or reason? Huge difference, like choice or sacrifice...neither are difficult to decipher.

Where's the dickhead now who called for Goorj to be sacked as Boomers head coach? Honestly, there are some real beauts on this board.
