NBA trade deadline frenzy

Aldridge buyout with Spurs, Heat frontrunners to sign him.

Lowry stays put but will be a free agency soon enough.

Daniel Theis to Chicago. Mo Wagner to Boston.

Marqueese Chriss to Spurs.

Oladipo to Miami. Heat sending Avery Bradley and Olynyk.

Raptors trade Powell to Portland for Gary Trent and Rodney Hood.

Lonzo Ball stays in NO.

Terrence Davis from Raptors to Kings.

Hawks trading Rondo to Clippers for Lou Williams. Think it was Lou who implied he'd retire if the Clippers moved him on, but Georgia is his home state so maybe this doesn't count.

George Hill to Philly for Tony Bradley, Terrance Ferguson and picks. Austin Rivers to OKC makes it a three-team deal.

Bjelica to Miami for Harkless and Silva.

Aaron Gordon to Denver for Gary Harris, RJ Hampton and a pick.

Boston to acquire Fournier from the Magic for picks.

Orlando trade Vucevic to the Bulls for Wendell Carter Jr and picks. Aminu also traded - four of the Magic's five starters in the last game traded in one day.

Denver get JaVale McGee from Cleveland for Hartenstein and picks.

Dallas have got Redick from the Pelicans, plus Lyles from the Spurs.

Hornets get Wanamaker from Warriors.

As a Raps fan, seeing what Philly and Miami gave up for the two guys they got suggests they probably werent making great offers for Lowry, so happy he stayed.

I know he'll be gone in the off season but there will still be the option to sign and trade him to get something back, even if its just a second rounder.

Terrence Ferguson has been traded to the Knicks and RJ Hampton to the Magic.

IF you look at Hampton or Ferguson they wouldnt be able to hold a full import spot in most top leagues around the world.

Whilst the NBA has the best players in the worlds, many of those at the end of the bench are mediocre.

RJ Hampton at least seems like a worthy project player. but Ferguson seems to have missed the boat.

Its crazy because Ferguson is pretty nice in terms of his skills and athleticism, so is Hampton. I just strggle to see why theyre so mediocre. Like, Ferguson can do windmills from the freethrow line, surely theres a use for that nuclear ability, but yet he shoots corner 3s and plays barely servicable D.

wouldnt you try show your worth as a slasher or really hone in on guarding your matchup.

Hes really gifted but wont be in the NBA after his rookie deal and tbh i dont even think hed be a dominant player in the NBL

and just on the topic, I think the Bulls made a move that has been a bit under appreciated. They just got a second All star and now have some decent Depth in their front court with Nik V/Wendell Carter/Lauri Markkanen and Thaddeus Young.

If White continues on an upward trajectory, paired with Lavine and that front court depth, theyre probably a playoff team next year instead of just a play in seed.

Gotta love the Magic philosophy: 'We aren't going that well so let's trade our three best players so we hopefully play much much worse and get a lottery pick'.

That's the NBA.

The Magic's moves are astounding. I'd consider it insulting if I were a Magic fan.

They gave Fournier to Boston for 2 x second round picks. Who gives a shit about 2nd round picks? Such a garbage organisation.

Thats true but they're both considered prospects, like most guys at the end of benches. They may not be great now, but there's a chance they develop into something good. Jimmy Butler was a great example.

From scanning r/NBA, Magic fans seemed excited that anything at all was happening.

Bulls fans pretty excited also to see some trade action.

The Rockets absolutely got taken to the cleaners in the harden trade final wash up. A top 5 player playing like an MVP and that's all you got back?

Looks like Shams deleted the tweet about the Lyles part. The eventual trade looks to be:

Sources: Dallas sent James Johnson, Wes Iwundu and a second-round pick to New Orleans to acquire JJ Redick and Nicolo Melli.

Mavericks acquiring two shooters to bolster their depth. Pelicans receive a gritty veteran forward in Johnson, young player and draft asset.

Fournier was going to leave for nothing after season. 2 second rounders better than nothing. And not many teams were going to give up much in case he left. Most contenders have no 1st rounders left and he's not a guy to build around. Plus he's French!
So they're going into full tank mode.

Woj:

Free agent LaMarcus Aldridge plans to sign with the Brooklyn Nets, sources tell ESPN.
Truly the hardest road.
