Darwin in NBL1 North 2022

Anyone able to confirm this?

local nine news in Darwin we're doing a story on there DBL season launch and said that Darwin will have teams in the 2022 NBL1 North.

Interesting to see what happens with who are the coaches and most importantly the players.

Last I heard is that they were only being considered for entry in 2022. Hadn't heard anything further than that, although circumstances may have changed since

Was also told they’d have to cover a portion of travel costs for teams travelling to Darwin.

Will be interesting to see what they might put together. DBA has a decent senior playing base and would supposedly have decent sponsorship backing.

would be like mount gambier paying for adelaide teams coming to them in 2019, except a bit more extreme

As far as I know the Northern teams have always paid more to equalise the costs of travel.
