NBL Covid plan

With Sydney and increasingly NSW having a Covid outbreak, where does the NBL go? Teams should not have to travel to NSW. Time to move their teams out, otherwise this season will be grounded by the end of next week.

Aren't there two cases in Sydney right now?

2 confirmed cases
3 locations the people went to had a large volume of people but low usage of a QR tracker codes
Meaning they don't know who also might be infected

Possible chance the numbers could jump very quickly. But they are hopeful at the moment as they feel most have come forwards for testing.

Only 6000 test yesterday is a concern for a population of that size

@Titan 55

What possible chances are you talking about. There is little chance of anything happening. Just like every other time in Perth or Brisbane or Adelaide or Sydney when so called highly infectious persons wondered around out in the public visiting numerous venues for days and days on end and nothing happened. Yes, the highly infectious one. But don't worry, your government saved you.

@108
Only 6000 negative results. I suppose it would be better to have done 50,000 negative results.
Zero is still zero no matter how many tests you do.

Zero is still zero no matter how many tests you do.
If you do zero tests, having zero positives is meaningless.

#126 great process. As per usual you live up to your reputation of a poster who isn't worth reading.

I recall the brilliant Donald Trump, "we are getting more positives because we are testing so much.." So let's test less to get less positives. Utterly brilliant.

SA yesterday with no COVID concerns had 3,400 tests. Complacency will not be NSW's friend

The fact that this was discovered in someone with no links to the hotel system, with zero prior community transmission, is exactly why it's so important to go get tested if you have symptoms. If everyone just assumes "oh, there's no community transmission, it's just a cold, it's fine", we don't discover the outbreak until there are hundreds/thousands of cases and then you get months of lockdown.
