King has been a little disappointing in the NBL. Still surprised he missed.

On the whole it looks like a pretty strong squad.

I guess it isn't a surprise (they are hand picked after all), but a lot of COE players on the list. Still, good to see that some who haven't been in the COE, can still develop their game and make the squad regardless.

King has been playing against men, some of the others have not done that well against boys. Maybe King made himself unavailable.

I may be wrong but pretty sure King does not have an Aus Passport...

The article is a year old. Surely if he had Aus citizenship he would have made this squad of 18? I'm thinking he hasn’t got it...

#890 talk me through leaving an NBL1 season and pro contract to play a junior tournament and doing your ACL and costing yourself both NBL1, WNBL and world cup, to achieve what?

People tear their ACL walking down the street mate. That is the dumbest statement in the world. Don't train then, don’t practice on your own, don’t play with your friends because you might get hurt. I agree if she was playing a different sport like footy and did her ACL and couldn’t play basketball. But she got hurt playing basketball. It could happen to anyone anytime. So you think doing an ACL in NBL1 is okay even though it will
cost you WNBL or WNBA? With your logic WNBL/NBL players shouldn’t play NBL1. Players in the NBA/WNBA shouldn’t play in the Olympics. She wanted the play, she knew the risks so just support the girl. It’s not a death sentence just ask Bec Cole and soon to be Kristy Wallace. She will make plenty of money and play many seasons. I’m glad she chose to be 19 and have one last run with her mates.
Have I talked you through it.

#037 how is it a dumb statment? it is more about going down the level, all your examples would make sense because they go up a level. I agree it is unfortunate, chill with the agression, Cole and Wallace didn't go backwards and do it. Her choice, just suprised Dandy let her do it to be honest. Insurance wise and BA wise as well, she would have been a main player at worlds
