VJBL, NBL1 south and Big V postponed this week?

Given the new restrictions in Melbourne it makes sense to stop unnecessarily traveling around the city.

I believe BV looking at options at the moment.

Surely no games will have spectators. Hope clubs do their bit to limit the chances of a lock down and a canceled season.

The only thing that can stop Keysborough and RMIT is COVID.

Return to Sport Update - 27 May
The Victorian Government, on advice from the Department of Health (formerly DHHS), has enacted a circuit-breaker lockdown for all of Victoria, with these measures in effect from Thursday 27 May at 11.59pm until Thursday 3 June at 11.59pm.

In line with Victorian Government health directives, for the next seven days, basketball in Victoria will be reduced to the RED-0 REACTIVATION LEVEL as per the Basketball Victoria Return to Sport Guidelines.

VICTORIAN JUNIOR BASKETBALL LEAGUE
Basketball Victoria has cancelled all Victorian Junior Basketball League (VJBL) games scheduled for Friday 28 May. This round will not be replayed or caught up due to previous catch-up games held for the February lockdown using the reserve weeks. Further information regarding the Friday 4 June VJBL round will be announced during the week.

BIG V
Basketball Victoria has postponed all Big V games scheduled for the weekend of 28-30 May. This round will be rescheduled with further information about rescheduled dates and other potential round postponements will be announced next week.

NBL1 SOUTH
Basketball Victoria and the NBL are working with the Victorian Government to obtain Professional Sports Exemptions for athletes so the majority of NBL1 South games can take place this weekend. Games between Mt Gambier and Hobart will proceed as previously scheduled as those teams have been re-routed through Sydney. We will have further information on the status of these games as soon as possible.

NATIONAL JUNIOR CLASSIC
Basketball Victoria has not made a decision regarding the status of the National Junior Classic, scheduled for 12-14 June 2021 at Dandenong Basketball Stadium and the State Basketball Centre. Further information regarding this event will be announced as soon as available.

ALL OTHER BASKETBALL EVENTS, COMPETITIONS AND PROGRAMS
All Basketball Victoria school events scheduled for this week, including Bulla Hoop Time and the Victorian College Championships, will be cancelled.

Victoria Metropolitan and Victoria Country under-16 state team training sessions have been cancelled until further notice.

Alternative arrangements for our programs, events and competitions will be announced at a later date.

Can't see the Classic being played in Victorian school holidays. Calendar is virtually full already.

Not expecting there to be any NBL1 South across Queen's Birthday Long weekend. Hopefully will return the following week, along with VJBL.
