Illawarra v Sydeney June 3

This season is coming down to the wire. Illawarra are into finals, but Sydney need to win and win to try to displace SEM, who looked good early against Brissy, but fell in the second half.

I bet Oscar would be kicking himself. The Hawks put the call out to someone to pull them out of retirement; he was out surfing, but Tim Coenraad was playing video games and took the call. Next time, answer the phone. Tim's been in two GF's - will it be a third time for the 2015 Club MVP?

Sydney are losing their coach and may have played their GF let week by beating the fancied Melbourne. Illawarra are like a laden B Double coming down Mt Ousley without any brakes, and that momentum might just be enough to crush the Kings and send them back home with a loss.

Depends which kings turn up, if Ware plays a little bit of team first kings might survive. The kings looked the best against United when there lesser lights played. Will Forde reward team play or continue ware and Martin taking most of the scoring opportunities. Hawks are just humming along and Goorj has used his magic to bring Ogilvy back, Deng improve out of site and Froling become consistent. Hawks also play good D which should get them across the line and finish kings season.

Hawks in front after three quarters. Doesn't say much about a Sydney side challenging for a place in the playoffs

Doesn't say much about Illawarra when they can't put a team like Sydney away.

ILL leaving the door open for SYD or BNE to snatch fourth from SEM.

Illawarra could have just given away their shot at a grand final.

If SEM beats NZ then Brisbane, then SEM grabs third and plays a weak Perth

Very average game, Sydney are Jekl and hide, from good for a few minutes to shit to then play a good final five minutes. To many iso players. Hawks ran there bench and did well, Goorj is still so passionate and knowledgeable.

Sydney got average bench. Starters went well, sub and they bad. No subs made in the 4th indicator of that.

Watched the second half and for the most part thought the young Hawks crew played well. If Goorj isn't fussed about ladder positioning, might've made sense to get minutes into the kids and preserve Harvey/Ogilvy.

Sydney's bench has won more games than the starters this season, going back less than a few days against United.
