LaMelo Ball wins NBA Rookie of the Year

Had a great season, though the Wolves weren't fans of the choice.

To be fair that would be a big deal to the Timberwolves given how bad that organisation has always been.

At least they have something of a case, maybe helped by games played?

Edwards: 72 games, 19.3 PPG, 4.7 RPG, 2.9 APG.
Ball: 51 games, 15.7 PPG, 5.9 RPG, 6.1 APG.

Argument against Edwards was maybe efficiency? Seemed to have leeway with shots going up.

Two great rookie seasons though.

Yeah I think despite missing games, Lamelo was better and impactful on a winning team more so than Edwards. They're both going to be good though. I can see some Donovan Mitchell in Edwards

Obviously the development the NBL and the Next Stars program provided was the catalyst for him winning the award.

It will be interesting to see how Giddey and Jessup go in the draught.
Could do wonders for the future of the next stars program

Jessup is not in the draft this year. He was pick 51 last year. Will be interesting to see if he plays NBA next year.

I can't see Jessup getting many minutes in the NBA. I feel Europe would be a better fit for him.
