Men's Olympic qualifiers

The qualifiers for the men's basketball are currently going on.

It is getting to the interesting stage now (the knockout portion).

Anyone know where we can watch these games?

Slovenia a sneaky medal chance if they can beat Lithuania.
They seem to have great team chemistry and Luka would be the best player in the Olympics.

Germany and Italy who would've thunk it.
Jokic unavilability bit Serbia bad.
Only the highlights, but it looked like Italy slung it from deep at will and with tremendous effect (41% on 34 attempts). The name sof their prime movers will mean nothing to us but Fontecchio and Pllinara in particalur have really stepped up in this tourney as Italy ahve moved away from the older guard or Gallo Bellinelli Hacket etc. Notably Italy played 12 deep in the final.

Maybe Goorj is on to something with his small ball madness and perhaps Exum, Thybulle et all will provide a similar next gen push for us.

Germany topping a very dominant group stage Brazil is probably a bugger surprise. Wagner appears to have led the way for Germany and his mobility will be a handle-able handful for the Boomers l big men and one wonders if we will now see some of their NBA boys Theis Schroeder Kleber et al suit up. I for one doubt they will bring them in at the last minute, likewise Gallo for Italy.

Looking forward to the match up with traditional rivals Italy - the 7 point miracle nightmare in Moscow, the rematch in LA with Gazey's debut as an 18 year old, and the QF classic in Sydney - the enxt chapter ina rich history.

Its getting close now.
