Reath signs with Illawarra Hawks

Today's signings
Reath one year at Illawarra.
Jack Salt one year at Brisbane
Magnay one year at Tasmania.

Hawks particularly looking good.
Salt signing might indicate H Froling is going elsewhere.

All the experts got Reath wrong. That's why the fantasy crap is a waste of time. Let's hope Magnay can be literally shaped by Roth.

JJ haven't been able to get any first choices, they better land some good imports.

Still pretty early in the off-season. Just because they've just signed role players so far doesnt mean they wont have other things lined up.

Yes it is very early, just don't see it as the start they would have liked and they were spruiking to anyone who would listen, as early as the nbl cup.

Jackjumpers need to get two High level players out of the free agents otherwise they will need to do very well when it comes to getting the three overseas imports.

Yeah, as always, too much focus on one or two players.
and talking-heads falling over each other to break scoops, then backtracking.
When in reality they don't have a clue.
Claiming Norton to Tasmania, then McVeigh, meanwhile nobody picked McDaniel.

Wait and see I suppose
If Reath is returning, Hawks make as much sense as anywhere

The talk is starting in Tasmania, JJ my friend, it just hasn't worked out. Sometimes you have to do the ground work before talking yourself up.

One of the comments on the signing post is by Tony Crocker stating Wildcats need a wing, ight be talking about signing with us? Would assume he's cheap and will come off the bench behind Blanch. He showed glimpses, but not sure if he was used the best way at the 36ers.

Crocker is obviously angling for his next gig but he would do a lot better in a structured offence at Perth then the freewheeling style at the Sixers.

I reckon off the bench in the Perth system Crocker could be one of the most effective imports. He also is a very good defender and seemed to have a good attitude even when Adelaide were losing.

With Jack Salt signing with Bullets, his teammate Deshon Taylor has been linked to multiple teams as well due to 3 import rule being back

Averaging 23 pts
5 asts
5 rebs
3 stls

Jack Salt has been dominate when playing has been taking care of his body to not over do it this season after not playing for almost 2 years

He was a great defensive stopper in college, I hope he gets an injury free run, will be a great asset.

Not saying he's gonna be dominant but he’s going to bring a Colton Iverson like impact. Great defensive/rebounding big & offense will come around

Hope we retain Hodgson over Froling, then.

I don't know Salt's game but his description above suggests that he and Froling would be too much alike?

Harrison is already locked in.

I would not be paying overs for Hodgson, to foul prone. Salt and Harrison with Froling as back up 4/5 would be fine. Bring Law and Patterson, that B J was ok as well.

I'll stick with Hodgson over Froling (even more so, after your comment)

Froling under a coach that demands discipline, gets him fit will still be a good asset. He has to be driven and cop no crap or you're out attitude.

Does anyone think we will see Cam Bairstow back in the NBL, he's such a fine player with unfinished business but a body that can't be trusted... how would you react if you heard that he was coming to your team?

"D2.0 do you still think the person who broke this signing weeks ago doesn't have a clue?"

Never said they don't have a clue.

I just think it's pointless to be in such a rush to be "first" that people make claims of fact before things are actually official.

Clearly, something wasn't final two weeks ago, so anybody saying it was, was wrong.

NB: Off the top of my head, I think ESPN (Olgun) has a better hit rate than Santa. Santa too often mixes "reporting" with his opinions (which often are clueless)

Really?

Player returning to Australia, supposedly at least 4 teams chasing his signature...

Goorjian selects said player to make his Boomers' debut
> Player signs with Goorjian's NBL team

Same thing happened with Lemanis
