Good luck to him.
Not same class as Giddey but should get plenty of oppurtunity on a mediocre team .
Interesting, now the 36ers have two NBA prospects in Kai Sotto and King.

Good one Perth fan. You know they're going to be mediocre so you?

Change of scenery and coaching might do wonders for his game and confidence.
36ers adding some nice pieces to the puzzle.
So Kai sotto isn't a next star. Ok well now it's getting confusing.
"What position does he generally play?"
Shooting guard

No reason they won't be mediocre again. They have a mediocre coach and no one would expect anything else.
Kai Sotto is signed as an Asian Development player, he is not real NBA prospect so didn't qualify to be signed as a next star. He will be lucky to get spot minutes. More of a marketing gimmick to get social media clicks from the Phillipines.

Must have missed Sotto play against Boban. He'll get minutes.
Really excited to see King in a 36ers uniform.
Assuming Dusty is next. A SF and PF to round out the bulk of the roster.

That's what I was thinking that team if they fmget a couple of great imports are going to finish too 4 if not top 2 unless they get injuries of course

I reckon they're building a nice roster. Can’t say it’s a mediocre lineup until all rosters are set.
But yea, coaching is a worry. But the roster is looking promising in my opinion.

This seems to have been glossed over. Plus there's the mediocre GM.

Perthworld: There "mediocre" GM have signed 3 big names free agents and a international prospect? Doesn't seem bad to me.

JVG always been good at making a splash on big names, but not so much on fit or balance. We'll see.

I really like what they've done to date - and this move is a great one also. McCarron is the perfect guy for him - will get him out and running.
They’ll be tough with the right import at the three.
I wonder if it came down to how Adelaide showcased Giddey? Not that he didn't deserve it.
I'm in the camp that thinks Sotto won't get any real minutes either. I hope he *does* but the eye test says he's physically weak and I can easily see him getting pushed around by practically anyone. Gonna be hard for him to make a mark in the league that's for sure.
Sotto is like Porzingis and will mainly be on perimeter.
Mojave is a next star on $100k. If Sotto isn't a next star how much $ is he on?

Sotto was never a next star.
Is it still the case that a next star is an "extra player"?

That's correct a next star is an extra player.
Not sure why people are debating Sotto’s wage.
We already have a more balanced team than the previous years.
Wait for a stud 3/4 import and it’s a huge improvement

So we assuming Hannah's is first import. An import 3. And then the third import a defensive 4/5? Assuming we can’t sign an Aussie big in which case I reckon they’d save an import slot to see what happens?

Hannah's as an import and it’s been mentioned a 3/4 import. Someone who can play the 3 then slide to the 4. Hopefully like Childress.
