Funny Thank You - All Star Weekend
Just though I'd write a few lines of thanks for the weekend.
Thanks to all the people that had donated all their time and energy to make this weekend a success. To the players, coaches, managers, STOP, stats, referees thank you. To the court announcers, the door person, the video operator, the games commissioner, the people working in the canteen and bar many thanks.
To Spectrum Labels, Champs, Evright and Pedro's Pizzas for sponsoring in anyway that you could (girls uniforms are another matter but will be solved).
A big thank you to Isaac for letting us and helping us to promote this weekend. It was the only media promotion we got continously.
It was a success, but I wish it would have been a bit more successful. But thank you to the people that attended. At last count, including players there were approx 450 on Saturday night and 200 on Sunday afternoon.
It is now upto the clubs and their senior reps to make certain that this goes ahead in the years to come, by supporting it in the senior committee meetings and giving BASA administration the push and impetus to help as much as possible. Without this grass root level of support you wouldn't have the Sixers or Lightning.
If I have missed anyone out, my aplogise and thank you.
