Olgun now Giddey's manager

As per his Twitter bio.

What would a manager role in this context encompass?

Getting money in the bank, also hopefully picking through who is with you and who is against.

I know it's not kosher to talk salary - but I’d imagine Giddey on a multimillion rookie contract can very very very easily chuck a few percent of his salary towards management and that would be a significantly greater pay day than basketball journalism

Wow- nice promotion

I'll miss his journalism but hats off for making the connection with Giddey and convincing him to take him on.

Even 2% of $30mil USD is $600,000 USD - or $839,000 AUD over the next 5 years. Plus of course, he might get more players now.

Well done to Olgun. Not sure what his experience is In this but I imagine he's someone Josh and his family trust to help him make decisions when the family come back to Australia.

Seems a different path than Simmons who has his family directly involved in all of that stuff

I guess being a manager didn't work out for him?

I see he is producing NBL content again and shown as "Olgun Uluc, ESPN Basketball Insider"

I wonder how long that will last with statements like "After missing the postseason for the first time in franchise history, the Wildcats needed to respond in a big way."

Because they have missed the playoffs before?
Or because they didn't need to respond? I would say its obvious they didnt need to respond after their least successful season in three decades.

Context: Wildcats fan

They've missed playoffs before. Had made it the previous 35 seasons before 2022.
