North Adelaide Rockets - External Trials
The North Adelaide Basketball Club is a family oriented, ambitious and inclusive basketball club situated in the northern suburbs of Adelaide.
We are now calling on players from outside of the club to trial for positions at the Rockets in 2022 through our External Trials.
As a player at the North Adelaide Basketball Club, you will receive:
• High level coaching: Our Rockets players have access to coaches with Professional, International and State Level experience. Our coaches are driven to be their best - in 2021 our club led all other SA clubs in the number of coaches who completed coaching accreditation courses. Additionally, our Rockets coaches are trained in house by industry leaders in effective and respectful communication with players and parents.
• State of the art facilities: All Rockets home games and many of our team trainings, are held at the Lights Community and Sports Centre. "The Lights" is a modern, air conditioned, 5 full sized court facility located in Lightsview – its arguably the best basketball venue in South Australia!
• Value for money: Our yearly basketball fees are amongst the lowest in Basketball South Australia. Additionally, if you are budget conscious, our club provides the option for members to pay their fees in instalments.
• Development for ALL players: At North Adelaide we are passionate in developing players from ALL divisions. That's why we have created a NABC Academy specifically for our lower division players to help them bridge the gap to higher division basketball. The Rockets Academy is the first of its kind in South Australian basketball and features professional basketball coaches, as well as, a Strength & conditioning coach.
• Elite Pathways: If you child is ambitious and wants to play in Basketball SA state teams, our program is the choice for you. The terminology, coaching methods and style of play we use at North Adelaide is closely aligned with those used by Basketball SA state teams. If your child is looking to go to US College after their junior career is finished, our coaches have helped dozens of players fulfill their dreams of playing basketball in the USA.
• A leader in Female initiatives: Our club is passionate about providing opportunities for female athletes and coaches. We have a range of programs for females including our 'Girls Only' Jo Hill Basketball Camps, conducted by former Olympian and Adelaide Lightning player, Jo Hill. Our U10 girls program is one of the biggest in South Australia and features a fun and dynamic learning environment for young girls. We are also the only club in South Australia with a dedicated female coach development program.
