Is Big V alive?

Teams are holding tryouts this weekend across Victoria yet no official words from Big V on what division clubs are in, what is happening with Hawthorn, who officially is joining Big V etc... must be nice to collect a check and do things on your own time

Traditionally the AGM is held over the cup weekend to ratify all the changes. Considering most will take Monday off, I suspect that there will be a media release this week to announce the changes.

Very slow from the league

I think more movement because is due as if Hawthorn either don't play or drop down it causes more shuffling.

why is the whole basketball world fixated on Hawthorn?

Hawthorn could shift the entire league depending on if they drop out, relegate etc...

Hawthorns problem is they are in the top division and so them going down or out effects all divisions. If they were D2 who would care they either join late or don't join and it only effects 1 division.

either way the league should of sorted its shit out by now.

Maybe check with your club buddy on timelines

Timeline has always been first week of November on announcements so I would say by the end of this week

last time I checked its only 3 November buddy

If Hawthorn is an issue, drop them down to D2 saves them money and can use juniors if needed.

Promote Keysborough to SCM and then RMIT to D1.

Keep everything else the same.

Big V then maintain what they said about limiting promotion relegation.

Its called common sense people.

^ agree!

No other movement could possibly be justifiable. Only those teams could compete at the respective next levels.

Hawthorn are out of everything it appears , so created a little bit of movement of teams up to CM and CW with Keilor and Casey gone to NBL1 also, but nothing major by the looks of it and its a 8 team CM and CW

Camberwell in CM cause only ones that put hand up to want to up by looks of it but they will be top 4-5 my tip!!, Keysie werent interested in applying to go up it appears bit suprising

Chelsea and Pakenham going up to CW, RMIT up to D1M, Whittlesea down to D1W and Sherbrooke up in D1W from D2W

Thank goodness RMIT went up to D1, gives the rest of us half a chance now in D2M hahhahhaaa. RMIT will probably win D1M too lol...

You'd assume from the other posts that Camberwell picked up some of Hawthorns players to be competitive in SCM.
No Colac interesting but have Bellarine, Corio Bay & Surf Coast from down that way.

Camberwell loses import to Sunbury and goes up? They will struggle especially if champ returns to anything close to pre-Covid standard. Like many above have said re: Keysie, they would have had their work cut out for them in D1M let alone champ. Big V desperate to get numbers for state champ with hawthorn saga unraveling and clock was ticking.

Lesson to Keysie don't putt all your eggs in the one basket

looks good mix of teams - right teams went up i reckon across board

RMIT had to go up as are freaks and camberwell the best of any really from the D1M bunch to go up they needed the 8 teams in CM. They will have hawthorns team probably anyway!

pakenham chelsea in cw good additions will be competitive

#823 I for one can't wrap my head around camberwell being the "best of any really from the D1" and going up.

How do Casey go up to Youth Champ Men before Frankston?

Reply #875850 | Report this post

Violin anyone?
Years ago

Why would frankston be ahead of casey in pecking order for VYCM? We were 1 and 1 versus Frankston this year in Y1 and had same win/loss record pretty much ! (15 and 3 vs 15 and 4)

No handouts Frankston lol need to earn it plus we are better performed over last couple of years in YL1 than you guys - so we defintely deserved it over you guys !

Get the violin out the old big brother NBL1 thing you cant use anymore against us to get your handouts unfairly as we are in NBL1 also now lol

Not from Frankston, just asking the honest question.

Casey at the big boys table now in all divisions, interesting to see how it all goes for them
